Context: ´Beide landen hebben te kennen gegeven medegelding te wensen van dit verdrag.´ The sentence is from a formal letter about a treaty between countries A and B, and countries C and D want medegelding. The sentence occurs in a formal letter. A translation I came up with is ´countries C and D wish to have a say in´, although that is probably less formal. Target audience are government officials.
