On the subject of film licensing:

Territorium: Het territorium waarin de Licentie mag worden uitgeoefend is het territorium genoemd in de...

I know what uitoefenen means, but I just can't think of the correct verb in English in this particular context. Does anyone know what the usual English term is in the film industry, when it comes to film licenses, i.e. which verb is used to describe what the licensee does with the license?

Does a licensee enforce/practise/exert a license? I don't like any of these, but I haven't managed to find anything better from Googling.

Incidentally, I know that I could change the sentence round in order to avoid having to think of the appropriate/correct verb. I could, for example, write 'The territory in which the license applies...'. However, that's not really the point, and in any case, this is bugging me!

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Covers/covered, of course! Was having a mental block on English vocabulary, but this was the verb I was looking for! Thank you Jarry (and Andre too for your suggestion).

Explanation:
just means to use - although one could say "exercise" which is the usual translation for uitoefenen.
