This comes from a text from a Flemish University (K.U.Leuven). There is only this one reference to 'valvengang' and no other context available. Does anyone know what this might be? I came across only one reference to this term on the net, something about 'in de valvengang in het kasteel' so I think this might be some kind of architectural feature. Thanks in advance!

)// LOL! Hadn't noticed but you're right - makes no sense at all :-)). This one's better: http://oxforddictionaries.com/definition/noticeboard

-> Yes, thanks Sindy. Don't quite agree with their phonetical transcription though ;-)

agree  Kirsten Bodart: Of course. I can't see what would be the difficulty here... No architectural features inside that building. I had classes in it, it's all pretty straightforward 70s./ It must mainly be used in Flanders then... Although the compound noun is a bit weird.

-> Well, 'valven' isn't such a common term in the NL I suppose. I for one had never heard of it. But thanks Kirsten!
