This is a bar (I think) used in a triple combination obstacle for horse jumping course. The full sentence reads "Springet var tåbeligt nok en bølgeplanke som nedslagsdel" (the author of the article is describing the course and obstacle design, his opinion of which is evidently not very high).

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ja, det er den del, der falder ned, hvis hesten rammer den. Jeg ville nok bare kalde det 'top pole' eller måske i dette tilfælde 'top plank' - prøv at se side 3 i kataloget.
