heat release time

Explanation:
Heat release time, maybe?

This is used about a number of things from combustion to storage heaters...

The phenomenon is strictly heat transfer, which is sometimes desirable, as in a heat exchanger or cooling jacket, and sometimes not.
The ´sive´ element in the word suggests a leak to be minimised.

If you have space for it, a phrase might be best: the time taken for heat transfer / heat release / the heat to leak

The rate of heat transfer over time

Detailed context would help
