heat release time Explanation: Heat release time, maybe? This is used about a number of things from combustion to storage heaters... The phenomenon is strictly heat transfer, which is sometimes desirable, as in a heat exchanger or cooling jacket, and sometimes not. The ´sive´ element in the word suggests a leak to be minimised. If you have space for it, a phrase might be best: the time taken for heat transfer / heat release / the heat to leak The rate of heat transfer over time Detailed context would help |
