Fourth floor, left Explanation: This is an abbreviation for fjerde, til venstre. Typical blocks of flats in Danish towns were/are centred on a staircase with two flats on each storey. At street level would be the stuetage (st. th and st. tv), often with shops in the old days, and then the storeys would be counted upwards. The other abbreviation is th (til højre.)
