V moderním kolejovém vozidle je nainstalováno mnoho inteligentních systémů, které jsou vybaveny vlastním řídicím systémem nebo řídicí jednotkou. *****Tyto systémy ovšem nepracují izolovaně, ale své funkce realizují ve spolupráci se systémem nadřazeného řízení, ve světě označované jako TCMS (Train Control & Management System).*****
TCMS zajišťuje správnou funkci všech subsystémů na úrovni vozidla jako celku a na úrovni celé vlakové soupravy. Je proto právem označován „mozkem“ celé drážní soupravy.


Prosím o návrh překladu tohoto termínu v označené větě. Bylo by možné v této větě použít "master control system" jako synonymum termínu "train control & management system"? Popřípadě "superior control system"?

It is the same concept, first introduced generically as a "systém nadřazeného řízení", and then given its proper name, i.e., TCMS.

I guess you could call it just "general", but "superordinate" seems particularly appropriate here, given that all other systems are subordinate to it.

"General" is quite OK, but top-level control system will also suit the context, meaning the system that comprises HMI, operator controls etc., and interacts directly with the operator, serving as an intermediary between human operator and other sub-systems and components.
