I suppose there are all sorts of ways of putting this. Pavel's solution would work quite well but I suppose you have to combine it with the tutove body. Something like "Are you going to give it all or nothing (for the hop nebo trop) or are you going to take it steady/be safe but certain [and make sure you get there/score]" (for the podle tutove body).
For hop nebo trop you could also have "go all out for a podium finish" or anything that suggests going fast ("go hell for leather"/"give it some real welly"/"put your foot down"/"drive devil may care"/"be reckless"/"be a boy racer"). You can pretty much forget about the "nebo trop" because that is evident from the "nebo na tutove body".
Other possibilities for na tutove body would be "plod along"/"be a steady Eddy"/"just make sure you get there"/"not go daft".
Really all you need to do is find something idiomatic that compares "being reckless" with "playing it safe".
Maybe just "Are you going to be reckless or play it safe?"
