Ono što usložnjava (dodatno komplicira) ovu pretpostavku o afektivnoj prisnosti jeste pretpostavka.. Explanation: Mislim da je to smisao... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 9 hrs (2006-12-07 21:23:03 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- "To compound" here does not mean that the two assumptions are merely linked together, but that the latter augments the former or makes it more complex. In other words, you have this assumption of continuity, which is made more complex by the assumpton of affective closeness. Using the verb "to compound" in this sense was once frowned upon, but now it's the first meaning listed in corpus-based dictionaries. Anyway, this is the only possible meaning as the verb is used transitively and the subject of the sentence is inanimate (assumption). |
