prompt Explanation: 报警信息 refers to text in error messages (This went wrong! Could be shown in a prompt or on a crash screen.) 提示信息 refers to text in message prompts (Hello! Please input/fix/make a decision on/take note of this. Pops up on the screen.) These two often overlap, but the second term is much broader while the first can refer to BSOD-like failures and such. What prompts are referred to as varies from system to system. 'Notification' (as Randy suggests) and 'alert' (as jyuan_us suggests) are two such names that may work in this context, but 'prompt' is the broadest term as far as 提示 goes specifically.
