Reference: Course syllabus Reference information: http://www.iesjovellanos.com/archivos/PROGRAMACION_DE_CIENCI... This is a new course introduced in Spain in 2008, taken in 11th grade (primer de batxillerat). It looks like it´s particularly focused on new scientific developments in recent times. In my high school (in the US), we didn´t have a parallel course. You might have to invent a translation unless there is something comparable in another country or school district. What is your target audience? I thought about ¨science in the modern world¨ but only got hits for college level courses. I will keep think about what this might be called in high school--perhaps ¨everyday science¨or ¨science in our everyday lives¨ or something... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 32 mins (2010-10-05 22:28:15 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Other options: ¨modern developments in science¨, ¨recent scientific developments: how science effects our lives¨ As none of these is the name of a real high school course as far as I can tell, I´m not going to register a final answer yet. |
