The word seems to be Sankskrit derivative. Explanation: I can't find this word in my Bengali dictionary either. But there IS a proximate word in the dictionary, which seems to me could be the stem word of Ayantika/অয়ন্তিকা. It's 'Ayan/অয়ন'। It means - 1. a path; a route; a course. 2. (astron) the sun's movement or course. 3. the ground; the earth; a homestead; a dwelling. 4. a passage through a battle order. 5. religious scriptures. This Bengali 'Ayan/অয়ন' is derived from Sanskrit root [অয়্+অন]. May be your Ayantika/অয়ন্তিকা has something to do with this Bengali 'Ayan/অয়ন' or the Sanskrit root of it. |
