نراود strive to make him yield / Seek yielding of (somebody) Explanation: وردت كلمة يراود ومشتقاتها في سورة يوسف 4 مرات. وهذه الكلمة تعني بذل الجهد في إقناع شخص بالرضا بالشيء والقبول به. وأفضل ترجمة لكلمة seek هي: يسعى إلى. بينما نجد كلمة strive أفضل لأنها تعني السعي مع بذل الجهد. لذلك أنا أختار الترجمة: We shall strive to make his father yield والله أعلم -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs 1 min (2005-07-30 08:00:12 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- ترجمة الآية كاملة: They said: We will strive to make his father yield in respect of him, and we are sure to do (it). |
