dirty/ miserable/ low-caste people Explanation: مقشف is the adjective from the verb قشف which means to have rough, dirty or cracked skin either in hands or feet. Such قشف could be a result of winter or hard labor. It is used to indicate miserableness of someone as opposed to "soft hands" due to lack of hard labor and care of one's body out of luxury and welfare. So, people label a person مقشف to indicate miserableness, poverty, low caste, not taking care of their bodies or dirtiness, etc. HTH |
