Klemi, fjala dekantim është në fjalorin tonë shkencor por konteksti zt nuk është teknik. Shpjegimi i këtij përdorimi fillon nga termi teknik (kimi): dekantim.

Dekantimi i substancave ose e një përzierjeje kimike nuk është gjë tjetër veçse ndarja e pjesëzave të ngurta nga përzierja e lëngët falë forcës së rëndesës, gjatë së cilës këto pjesëza precipitojnë në mlnyrë të natyrshme dhe depozitohen në fund duke lënë të pastël pjesën e lëngshme të tretësirës.

Ky proces përdoret për verërat dhe në shumë degë të tjera, bile edhe në shtëpi por jo të gjithë e dinë që janë duke dekantuar tretësira apo lëndë :).

Në rastin e përdorimit metaforik të këtij termi, si rasti yt, autori/ja ka dashur të thotë se kjo është ndjesia që i ngelet atij/asaj në mëndje pasi largohet prej tyre. Pra kjo është ndjesia që "dekantohet" pasi pret, largohet, kaloh kohë.
