“A is represented in Court by B to whom he/she has issued a Specific Power of Attorney Explanation: If person A is represented by person B, i.e. person A has nominated B as his attorney, then A has given B some representation rights by means of a Power of Attorney which can be General or Specific. So depending on what / how the sentence / paragraph is written, I would says something like “A is represented in Court by B to whom he/she has issued a Specific Power of Attorney”. The Attorney him/herself can be a Defence Lawyer or not, depending on the nature of the Court case (e.g. it might be some routine procedures for which a Lawyer is not indispensable). |

pursuant to the Special Power of Attorney Explanation: This would be the literal translation and need to be adapted depending on the context/sentence, in ordertoflow naturally in English. As for the types of Power of Attorney, in Albania there are only two: 1. Special Power of Attorney (or Limited - NOT Specific), and 2. General Power of Attorney Each of the above can be Temporary (for a limited duration) or Indefinite. Special and General relate to the level/type of authority granted, whether Temporary or Indefinite relate to the duration/validity. |
