variant or alternative spelling of either "Kjerstin" or "Kjersten" Explanation: Over the last 24+ hours I have looked everywhere for the meaning of your name as you spell it. I couldn't even find another example of your name, as you spell it, either in print or on the Internet. I think that, in this case, your name is a variant (alternative) spelling of either "Kjerstin" or "Kjersten". If so, it's a Swedish and/or Norwegian form of the name "Christina" which, in turn, is the feminine form of the male name "Christian" HTH. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2005-03-15 03:21:13 (GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- If I happen to come across any useful additional information in the future i\'ll post it here. beliver in crist Explanation: but only if Kjerston is a form of Kerstin, then it falls in the Krisitna group: Namnet kommer från latinet och har betydelsen den kristna. Den mest kända Kristina är drottning Kristina som levde 1626-1689. Kristinehamn är uppkallad efter henne. Många nya namn har uppkommit efter Kristina. Några exempel är Kristin, Kerstin, Stina och Tina. Den vanligaste stavningen är Kristina men även Christina används ofta. |
