I know we've had another question on a related issue (http://www.proz.com/kudoz/869838) but here I'm not 100% sure as to whether this word "garantiert" should be translated here as "guarantees" or "warrants" or even "shall provide warranties as to". The context, yet again, is an Austrian set of Einkaufsbedingungen:

"Der Anbieter *garantiert* für die bestellkonforme Ausführung des Auftrages, für die verwendeten Bauteile, deren richtige, sachgemäße Bemessung und Konstruktion, die einwandfreie fachmännische Ausführung und Montage der Anlagen sowie die Einhaltung zugesicherter Eigenschaften, gleich ob diese vom AN oder dessen Unterlieferanten stammen, insbesondere auch dafür, dass die Funktion, die technischen Merkmale, Leistungswerte, Charakteristika usw gemäß der Bestellung samt mit geltenden Unterlagen sowie den Prospekten, Katalogen etc entspricht, dass die Ausrüstung in Übereinstimmung mit den technischen Bestellspezifikationen dem neuesten Stand der Technik bei Bestellerteilung entspricht, nach den geltenden Vorschriften hergestellt wurde, und dass für den gegebenen Zweck neues Material von erstklassiger und geeigneter Qualität verwendet wurde."

Thanks yet again, Jeff. In this instance I actually went for "provides warranties as to" in the end, simply because this seemed to work best with the phrase "für die verwendeten Bauteile". From further research of English purchasing conditions, the standard seems to be "warrants that..." or "warrants and represents that".
