Explanation:
You know this word has stemmed out of same root as "clean", so my answer is just that and rather simplistic answer. Nonetheless, in intellignece world (government or business alike), "cleansed data" means confidential matter and/or potentially harmful information is taken out or modified.
In essense it means "edited", or "reveiwed for content modification" for business security purpose before any of them exposed to the public.
