Hello
In fact I think it was copied by an insurance compnay from the disclaimer by a lawyer and it was not correctly adapted to an other situation - where there is no "legally privilged information" ....

cf. below

Legally Privileged Material

The definition of items subject to legal privilege is crucial, since these items are exempt from most powers of search and should not be seized. There are three categories of legally privileged material:

Communications to do with giving legal advice.
Communications to do with legal proceedings.
Items connected with either of the above communications.

neutral  Deborah do Carmo: need not be a lawyer-client relationship; information provided under the scope of other relationships eg. doctor-client also legally privileged//the e-mail disclaimer is probably written by a lawyer but to speculate + exclude other clients is not correct

-> absolutely right - I am just so used to seeing this on fax cover sheets from law firms, that I forgot that others sometimes also send faxes! But, this obviously was written by a lawyer, and is most likely from a law firm.
