Hello what does "legally privileged information" mean exactly in this context?

Explanation:
"privileged" means only the parties involved may have access to the information (ie know of its contents), or those to whom they have consented to provide the information to. No outsiders may legally have access to it.

In fact I think it was copied by an insurance compnay from the disclaimer by a lawyer and it was not correctly adapted to an other situation - where there is no "legally privilged information" ....

neutral  Deborah do Carmo: need not be a lawyer-client relationship; information provided under the scope of other relationships eg. doctor-client also legally privileged//the e-mail disclaimer is probably written by a lawyer but to speculate + exclude other clients is not correct

  -> absolutely right - I am just so used to seeing this on fax cover sheets from law firms, that I forgot that others sometimes also send faxes! But, this obviously was written by a lawyer, and is most likely from a law firm.
