Dutch term or phrase: strijdblad
Dat het leven het best volgens het katholieke kruis kon worden ‘ingericht’, was ook de boodschap van een andere tekening die Seuphor in zijn strijdblad La Nouvelle Campagne opnam.

What is a good English translation for 'strijdblad'? I thought of 'militant magazine' but maybe that's to strong

magazine
Explanation:
If I had to do this translation, I would certainly not make it too difficult for the reader as everybody knows what is meant here; either use 'magazine' or (as suggested earlier) 'pamphlet', or even 'publication'.

It is obvious that they are trying to make a point, or indoctrinate people by means of printed matter. The size, which denotes the name, is of less importance, i.e. whether it is a quality paper, a 'rag', a letter size or A-4 sheet, or folded A-3 with a paperclip in the middle to resemble a magazine.

earth, and he has clearly shown that the magazine called The Watchtower is used ...

Explanation:
No Google hits for the name La Nouvelle Campagne. Is your text a translation from a different language-German maybe? In that case the caps might also be wrong.

alternative publication

Explanation:
The word 'alternative' here means against the 'main stream', therefore implying militancy.
In UK 'Private Eye' is an 'alternative' publication.

From the minimal context and the translators\'s notes we have available here, \'strijdblad\' alludes to non-physical conflict, contest or differences of opinion. Alternative in my translation pertaining to \'other than that which is accepted\', in the sense of main-stream or acknowledged by peers. As a \'blad\' this would commonly be referred to as an \'alternative paper, or more usually \'publication\'.

agitprop

Explanation:
The term 'agitprop' is now used more generically to refer to any form of mass media, such as a television program or film, that tries to influence opinion for political, commercial or other ends. For example, a television cartoon might be described as 'agitprop' if it could be interpreted as a marketing ploy to sell toys.
