English term or phrase: Depend On Nobody
Can anyone put it into Kanji Symbols maybe?
Lisa
Japanese translation:人に頼らない・誰にも頼らない
Explanation:
this means literally "to not depend on people" but has the same functional meaning in English as "depend on nobody"
You might also say 誰にも頼らない which is closer to the direct translation from English, which means "not rely on anyone"
Note that the conjugation of this term varies depending on context; we could provide more accurate translation with the context of a complete sentence.

I have posted in Kanji symbols. If you are unable to view them, try to change your browser encoding (In Internet Explorer, it¥'s ¥"view... encoding - then select ¥"Japanese(AutoSelect)¥")
If that doesn¥'t work, you need to load Japanese support on your system. I would need to know more about your operating system know if it is compatible to see Japanese, and to assist you with configuring this.

depend on nobody
独立独歩

Explanation:
"Depend on nobody" means from "being indepent" to even "maverick". Kurt's answer is OK in daily conversatinal level (but a bit boring -- Sorry Kurt!).
If you are looking for something like catch word or "motto", these four characters are really good punch line.
First two characters mean "Independent", last two characters "Standing on one's own feet".
See some usage of this and its real-life application below (from Eijiro).

検索文字列 : 独立独歩
