Arabic term or phrase: كراء
This term is used in a Moroccan divorce decree, which reads:

المحكمة الابتدائية بالدار البيضاء أنفا

طلاق خلعي

اختلعت السـيدة س من عصمة زوجها السـيد ص بجميع ما لها عليه من الحقوق الزوجية كراء أشهر عدتها ومتعتها ونفقتها وصرحت أنها غير حامل

Does the term كراء here mean "in return for," "with the exception of," "including," "for the duration of," or something entirely different. I know from previous discussions of the term طلاق خلعي that the wife waives her right to the dowry, but it appears here that certain other stipulations are involved. Any elaboration on this will be appreciated.

it means that the wife surrenders all her rights including rental fees that are usually covered by the husband, it has nothing to do with in return or any of the expressions you stated. كراء in Moroccan Arabic stands for rent or rental fees, and here it means rental fees, the word is commonly used in divorce deeds in Morocco

But in this context I think it means نفقة ; translated 'alimony'

I say this based om the meaning of the word in the dictionary and the flow of the sentence, but with some doubt based on the context.

First the meaning courtsey of Ajeeb's lexicons:

كِرَاءٌ - [ك ر ي]. "كِرَاءُ البَيْتِ" : إِيجَارُهُ. "ثَمَنُ الكِرَاءِ

From this it appears that the word refers to rent or compensation, which would fit in your sentence pretty reasonably. The sentence would indicate her giving up her rights in return for the items listed at the end. The sentence would read correctly and make sense, except in light of Islamic family law. The reasons are:

1) The waiting period is not a privilege that she can waive, but an obligation that she must keep; although her declaration that she is not pregnant may be done to mitigate the need for the waiting period, but as far as I know no such mitigation process exists in Sharia.

2) The Mot'a (severance gift if you will), and nafaqa (support) are part of the rights that she would normally waive, although the husband can be generous and waive some of those himself, i.e. let her keep some of her rights.

It is might be that the word كراء has another unfamiliar or locale specific meaning here that would solve the puzzle, but it is not a known sharia term. At least I have take a 3 credit University course on Islamic Family Law without coming accross it.

So you have some elaboration, but I am afraid I cannot be more decisive.
