ces notions sont presque redondantes : par définition, l'Internet est "public" car tout le monde y a accès et un intranet est privé car il faut généralement faire partie d'une société pour y avoir accès (et chaque société peut s'en créer un). cela va tellement de soi que pour ne pas prendre le lecteur pour un idiot, je mettrais ces mots entre parenthèses si le style de votre phrase le permet - Internet (public) ou intranets (privés).
notez qu'Internet prend encore une majuscule alors qu'intranet n'en prend pas.
