These are two versions of the same text in En and Fr. I have to translate this to Latvian and previously several fragments have not completely matched. Can someone please tell me if there's a significant difference between these two?To my mind, French is the original version, whereas English version seems to alter the meaning.

Ce numéro du Rapport d'activité reprend aussi les réunions hors-siège des groupes politiques du CdR. C'est une première. Des groupes politiques qui, eux aussi, ont consacré une bonne partie de leurs réunions à débattre de l'avenir de l'Union et du rôle futur du Comité des régions.

This Activity Report also includes, for the first time, the CoR political groups' meetings held away from Brussels. The political groups have also spent a significant amount of their meeting time in discussing the future of the Union and the role of the Committee of the Regions

1. The French version does not mention Brussels, only the headquarters;

2. the phrase \"a significant amount of their meeting time in discussing\" is very awkward--I replaced it with \" significant part of their meetings discussing\";

3. the concept of \"future\" was absent from the role of the Committee--I added it to read \"the FUTURE role of the Committee...\";

4. the name \"Committee of THE regions\" was a bit awkward--I changed it for \"Committee of Regions\".

the english version explicits "Brussels" as the "siège", but should have "future" added before "role" to be be equivalent with the french version
