boules terrain


Explanation:
The French term 'terrain' is used in English too - 'court' is a possibility, but I found 'terrain' on a couple of websites. You'd say a 'boules terrain' in English. I agree that 'boules' and 'petanque' seem interchangeable, but there is a site which mentions 3 different names for different sorts of boules games (the second site I quote below). Hope that's of some use.

This is what we call it in American.
As far as amentities for a vacation resort, you can't say "field" for this, as it is the SPORT they are offering, and not the fact that it is a field (like baseball field or soccer field).

Explanation:
or boules pitch, or french bowls ground (depending on how "au fait" your customers are likely to be with french customs). I don't like the use of the terrain in this context in the english as it suggests a much larger area, rather than a sports pitch / ground etc... Obviously there is no right or wrong answer for this as it is something that does not exist in English, so take your pick - or you go with the most number of google hits...!
