Viszont ez talán arra utal, hogy ezek a saját tőkébe beszámító tartalékok (nem pedig céltartalékok, amiket viszont nem szoktak abba belevenni), ahová a felosztatlan nyereségből beraknak ezt-azt (feltöltik az eredménytartalékot, átértékelési tartalékot képeznek, vagy éppen valami speciális tartalékot).
