保険およびリスク管理 (hoken oyobi risk kanri) Explanation: Japanese for insurance is "hoken" -- the first word. &=and thereby its Japanese equivalent is "oyobi". The last one is "risk kanri". Risk is expressed in one of Japanese writing systems katakana as it is direct adoption from English. Risk can be 危険 (kiken=danger), thus 危険管理 could be your option but not used often. For management, 管理(kanri) would be most appropriate. From "Dictionary of English Collocations of Business and Finance Terms" by Nikkei BP Publishers. |

保険およびリスクマネジメント Explanation: This a case that needs to be explained. The Japanese word 保険(insurance) is an old words dating back at least to the 19th century. On the other hand "Risk Management" is a phrase that was put into use widely in Japan only from the time of the revision of Insurance Law in mid 1990s. If fact many of the learned persons still use the word with confusion. That is to say, they are ambiguous about "risk management" that consists of "risk control" and "risk financing". The confusion is more frequent when one uses the word 「リスク管理」. Often「リスク管理」is used to represent either "risk control" or "risk management" without consistency. Hence I suggest that 「リスクマネジメント」 is more preferable. |
