This is an infectious disease and usually it is simply called \"ascending cholangitis\" (in Italian too) without specifying \"infettiva\".
E.g. \"Gli episodi di colangite ascendente con dolore al quadrante superiore destro dell\'addome e febbre, sono poco frequenti.\"
