agree  Terence Ajbro: this is translated in many different ways as you rightly mention. "Ausblenden" is one of my favourites though.

agree  abaensch: tendiere zu "reduziert" ja, da ist wohl Fantasie gefragt, da es jeder SW-Hersteller anders bezeichnet (Bsp. Windows: kleiner=verkleinern größer=maximieren
