currency query.....not translation

ok....how much is 1 nickel????

i know 1 dime is 10 cents....but nickel i understood to be 20.....no idea....
the context is as follows:::
analysts state that when the nickel-per-printed-color-page barrier is smashed, then....bla bla bla

and in the next paragraph:
company XXX shatter the five-cents-per-page when they introduced their XXX printer back in 2003......

this makes a nickel less than 5 cents??????

i only know about sixpences, farthings and pounds, oh and the first to answer gets my threepence coin from before i was born....thanks everyone

thanks rufino, that's what i thought....so maybe one (the analyst) was more colloquial than the other who decided to be posher and say five-cents.....should we charge for deciphering as well as translating????
