subnet Explanation: l'ensemble des activités / liaisons qui ont le meme objectif (tel que blocage, rappel, retrait des produits) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 7 hrs 34 mins (2004-06-16 06:27:46 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- You are right: it is about avoiding problems with the finished goods (the higher the level in the value-added chain is where a defect/ problem is discovered, the more expensive it is for the company). In the Japanese quality management therefore, the so-called Pareto-diagram is used (cumulative values, traditionally, a bar chart). At any rate, in quality assurance, the approach typically is an inward-out one: \"what can we do to reduce this problem?\" instead of \"how to prevent others from doing...?\" |

some ideas on this sentence.. Explanation: It looks, from the sentences given, as though they do indeed wish to let certain things slip through the net that would have been subject to recall before, in other words to relax their conditions. However, if as we all seem to suspect, the "maille" is a net through which things pass (or not), then it would have been more logical to talk about "enlarging the mesh" so more gets through rather than the reverse. I therefore suggest that you talk about "relaxing the conditions or criteria" HTH |
