Explanation:
In french, both Michael and Mitchel are translated into Michel. Michel can be a family name. Michèle or Michelle are the feminine forms of Michel. Some humorists have transposed a french traditionnal song into Texas: "C'est la mère Michel qui a perdu son chat...". It was transposed to "C'est la mère Mitchel qui a perdu son chat".
