English term or phrase: hyper achiever
Kontext: Es geht um die "inneren Saboteure", die die Leistungen von Mitarbeitern im Unternehmen mindern und sich negativ auf ihr gesamtes Arbeitsumfeld auswirken.

Our Saboteurs act as strengths on a good day but they are also the behaviours that undermine us on a bad day, under stress and under pressure.

Saboteurs start off as our guardians to help us survive the real and imagined threats we face as children.

So, let’s have a look now at the nine saboteurs:
- the stickler
- the pleaser
- the hyper vigilant
- the restless
- the controller
- the avoider
- the ***hyper achiever***
- the victim
- the hyper rational

The Hyper Achiever: In a good day he is goal oriented, sets high standards is driven and inspiring but in a bad day, he will choose results over people, he may be task or short-term focused and miss the big picture.

So what are some of his characteristics: Well, he is Competitive; image conscious; workaholic tendency; good at covering insecurities

What are the thought that guide his behaviours: "I must be the best at what I do; I must be efficient and effective"

What type of feelings does the hyper achiever experience: "Well, I don’t like to dwell in feelings too long; I feel worthy when I am successful; happiness is conditioned on the next success"

What lies does the hyper achiever come up with to justify his behaviours: "Life is about achieving and producing results; feelings are a distraction"

What is the impact if his behaviours on others: Well others can feel stepped on; not important; unseen; or not valued

Let’s take an example, a young boy whose mother is very ill may develop a hyper achiever behaviour, being top of his class to show her that he is doing ok and reassure her that she does not have to worry about him.
