Checking Calibration

1. Set up and level the laser 30m (100ft) from a wall. (90m [300ft] for the GL722)
2. Set the grade to 0.000% in both axes.
3. Raise/lower the receiver until you get an on-grade reading for the +Y axis. Using the on-grade marking notch as a reference, make a mark on the wall.
4. Rotate the laser 180° (-Y axis toward the wall) and re-level the laser.
5. Raise/lower the receiver until you get an on-grade reading for the –Y axis. Using the on-grade marking notch as a reference, make a mark on the wall.
6. Measure the difference between the two marks. If they differ more than 3mm at 30m (1/8 in. at 100 feet), the laser needs calibration. (8mm [5/16 in.] at 90m [300ft] for the GL722).
