Nella descrizione di un impianto sprinkler trovo la seguente frase:
The ***far main*** of the sprinkler system No. 1, installed at ceiling level in building No. 2, is still missing and should be installed as soon as possible in order for sprinklers in that area to work as designed.

Ho trovato la definizione di "far main" (e di "near main"; riporto di seguito il link alla fonte):
