Explanation:
La traduzione letterale non va con la cultura della lingua italiana.
Il senso è che giocare d'azzardo (ma in inglese hazard può, secondo i contesti, voler dire gioccare d'astuzia, anche in modo disonesto a volte).
Qui la sostanza è che pur di fare del denaro, molti farebbero qualsiasi cosa, anche le più impensabili e infattibili. Questo è il senso, quindi bisogna trovare un proverbio italiano che possa equivalere a quello inglese.
Io purtroppo non ne ho nessuno in mente in questo momento.

agree  Giuseppina Macheda: Concordo pienamente. Forse si potrebbe rendere con "tornerà pure a creare il fuoco dalla selce, se deve", così da tenere fede al testo originale.
