English term or phrase: Mixing vs. Blending (Pharmaceuticals)

The term MIX means to put together in one batch of mass.

The term BLENDING means to mix smoothly and inseparably together during which a minimum energy is imparted to the bed.

The terms MIXING and BLENDING are commonly used interchangeably in the pharmaceutical industry.

¿Alguna idea?

mezclar y combinar
Explanation:
TBH, I don't like "first past the post" questions. It's an unfair electoral system and it's unfair in Kudoz.

In food labelling - obviously not the same as pharma - "blend" often equals "combinación" and "mixture" = "mezcla".
