"régie d'avances et de recettes"

French term or phrase: "régie d'avances et de recettes"
I've discovered that this is an office at the recently-formed Tribunal Judiciaire which appears to be responsible for making and receiving payments (https://www.tribunal-de-paris.justice.fr/75/le-service-de-la...
But I'm wondering whether anyone can suggest an appropriately snappy term in English rather than me spelling it out - or maybe spelling it out is the best way forward.

1) Receives payments such as fines
2) Makes payments, such as witnesses' out-of-pocket expenses

Personal knowledge, I once did exactly this as a job at the Central Criminal Court (Old Bailey) in London

In the UK and Ireland there has been a tedency to centralise these offices in one place over the past few years:

It processes all financial transactions for District Court offices and combined court offices, including the payment out of family law maintenance, refund of bail, poor box payments and receipting of fines.

Magistrates' Court in E&W used to have a "fines and fees" office within the court building, but these too have become centralised.

The same sort of thing is happening in France, Courts are not taking cash payments and perfer these to be done online or by ban transfer etc.:

Après l’entrée en vigueur le 1er janvier 2020 de la Loi n°2019-222 du 23 mars 2019 qui créé le tribunal judiciaire à partir des anciens tribunaux d’instance et de grande instance et la parution de l’arrêté du 9 décembre 2019, le tribunal judiciaire de Paris dispose désormais de deux régies distinctes :

la régie d’avances et de recettes
(régisseuse et chef de service : Ingrid ROMAGE)
la régie annexe d’avances et de recettes
(régisseur et chef de service : Thierry BOUDIN)

Chaque régie a gardé les mêmes attributions. La régie annexe d’avance et de recettes a donc toujours en charge les saisies sur rémunération ainsi que les expertises.

À noter : le service de la régie du tribunal judiciaire de Paris ne prend plus d’espèces depuis le 1er janvier 2020.
Les paiements doivent s’effectuer :
- par virement, chèque de banque ou chèque CARPA pour les cautionnements
- par virement, chèque de banque, chèque bancaire du client ou chèque CARPA pour les consignations expertises et parties civiles (à défaut de compte CARPA, le chèque tiré sur le compte professionnel de l’avocat est accepté).

it's true that régie could be an office for or management of but many translations use "petty cash" or "imprest" as someone suggested.
I prefer petty cash as I have never even heard of "imprest" before
