This is in a classified list of acts (of misconduct) mentioned in a supreme court ruling (for the Attorney General). "separación del ejercicio" seems to be the same as "destitución" (removal from office) and I having trouble finding a way to distinguish the two. Here's the text:

Asker: Thanks, this makes sense. I totally forgot that "licencia" can mean leave of absence. It looks like the faltas may be referring to absences rather than acts of misconduct as I first interpreting
