the insured (the party insured) or the policyholder on the bus Explanation: Please note that in the language of insurance, "insured" is a noun treated like any other noun. It can take the definite article (the insured) and can be plural (insureds). In common, everyday language, "insured" as a noun sounds stuffy. We mostly use it as a modifier. We say, "who is the insured party?" rather than "who is the insured." The insured party is also called the policyhoder (one word). When you are insured, you are insured ON something FOR something. For instance, you are insured on the house for one million dollars. هي المؤمن لها على الحافلة ". . . is the insured on the bus . . ." ". . . is the party insured on the bus . . ." ". . . is the policyholder on the bus . . ." Finally, please note that the policyholder does not necessarily own the bus. |
