Explanation:
Mag schon sein, dass das RKI was von "asymptomatischer Übertragung" faselt, aber das sind keine Sprachwissenschaftler. Aus sprachlicher Perspektive ist das IMHO Blödsinn. Symptome bringt ggf. erst die Erkrankung hervor, und zwar mehrere Tage nach der Übertragung - und manchmal verläuft sie eben auch asymptomatisch. Aber die Übertragung von Erregern ist *immer* asymptomatisch, das wäre also eine Tautologie. Die Frage ist doch: Wird die Übertragung später bemerkt, weil sich nach einigen Tagen Symptome zeigen, oder bleibt sie unbemerkt, weil eben die Erkrankung asymptomatisch verläuft?

"Heimliche Übertragung" finde ich auch etwas seltsam, zumindest bei mir evoziert das Wort "heimlich" die Vorstellung, dass jemand aktiv etwas geheimhalten will. (Also z.B. wenn Kinder heimlich eine Schatzkiste vergraben, damit sie niemand findet, oder wenn jemand versucht, eine Liebesaffäre zu verheimlichen, etc.) Aber hier ist es ja schlicht so, dass die Übertragung von niemandem bemerkt wird, weil halt keine Symptome entstehen.

neutral  Cécile Kellermayr: Drosten ist auch kein Sprachwissenschaftler. Unbemerkt wäre dann auch eine Tautologie, schließlich bemerkt man die Übertragung ja auch nicht.

  -> Drosten nicht, aber ich ;-) Die Übertragung wird i.A. später bemerkt, wenn nämlich jemand Symptome bekommt. Zu unterscheiden von unbemerkt bleibenden Übertragungen, wenn keine Symptome auftreten.
