lousy world Explanation: "Lousy world" is good. "Rotten world" would also work well. I usually translate "pourri" as "rotten". |

filthy world Explanation: I find that even though pourri is literally rotten, in English it is more common to say lousy or filthy world we live in. All three could be. |
