Hiya. how can we translate lame ? Thnak you so much. Dictionnary says patético, cojo. In the menaing of pathetic ? or in the meaning of cochinada porqueria , somethign really bad ? Thank you inmensely in advance. Does lame and lousy mean the eaxct same stuff here ? like lame movie = lousy movie ? Can we say you’re so lame ! you’re so lousy ? menaing I don’t like th way you think, behave ect.

Can we use lame like say this book is lame, this party is lame, when we really dislike something, we think it’s garbage. Can we translate it by este libro es patético, esta fiesta es patética ?

Although sometimes their meanings can overlap, I think ‘lousy’ is a more direct critic:
It was a lousy meal > Fue una comida asquerosa.

While ‘lame’ expresses an emotion (weak, poor, pathetic)
He posts pictures that are not his. He’s so lame. > Pública fotos que no son suyas. Es tan patético.

I think that text is essentially saying the philosophy is pathetic and the best word would be ‘patético’.

‘Cojo/a’ is something very different, it happens when a person or an animal has a physical disability. You can say: After the race lots of horses return lame but then they’re fine.
