The public health measures implemented at points of entry (ports, airports, ground crossings) on travelers (crew and passengers) arriving to a country, with the purpose to assess the exposure to a biological agent (bacterium, virus, parasite) and/or the presence of symptoms.

Zástupcovia ministerstiev zdravotníctva členských štátov EÚ sa na stretnutí zhodli, že je potrebné v prvom rade posilňovať tzv „exit screening“, čiže skríning osôb pri odchode z krajín postihnutých ebolou. V prípade záujmu a potreby členských štátov možno posilňovať aj skríning pri vstupe do EÚ.
