This is one of those occasions where you have to find something culturally equivalent. Lots of Europeans have never been to Paris, so it is a dream - I for one have been in love, but never been in Paris, so for me it is pure fairy-story. Like the Sleeping Beauty waking up after a hundred years, or any of those 'happy-ending' tales!
I recovered from an illness in Northumberland in the north of England, and had something of the same experience - but it was out in the sunshine after a very cold winter, watching the spring day by day. It comes back to me a little each year with the crocuses and primroses - they are early this year! :-)
Just think of a concept that would make sense to Arabic readers.

I wouldn't change the expression but what is means is that it's like seeing the world with new eyes - everything looks brighter, more attractive.
