Wird das Motorrad häufig in staubiger Umgebung eingesetzt, muss das Luftfilterelement häufiger gereinigt oder ausgetauscht werden.
Es ist sehr gefährlich, den Motor ohne Luftfilter zu betreiben.
Ohne die blockierende Wirkung des Filterelements im Luftfilter, kann die Zündflamme des Motor zurück in den Ansaugkanal des Luftfilters brennen.
