Thanks for your suggestions. I believe the couple simply made their plans known on January 11th, and the banns were then published on January 12th, 19th and 28th (three successive Sundays) prior to the actual marriage ceremony on January 31st. Perhaps it could be translated: "On Saturday, the 11th of January, it was requested for the performance of a marriage ceremony, that the banns be published from the pulpit for the well-respected bachelor N.N. and the virtuous widow N.N." ?

Indeed, 'anmeltes' looks like an old or irregular spelling of 'anmeldtes', i.e. they gave notification of their intention to marry, or whatever the procedure was there and then. You seem to have cut off the sentence before the subject (if there is any).

As for 'aflyse', today it means to cancel, but in the past, it could also mean to give notice of or promulgate something (in a positive sense), cf. https://ordnet.dk/ods/ordbog?query=aflyse:

In the Church of Denmark, engaged couples usually went to the church and "anmeldte" their marriage plans, after which the incumbent/rector/vicar (parish priest is Catholic) would publish the banns from the pulpit on the 12th, 19th, and 28th of January.
