Medical - Medical (general)
Spanish term or phrase: Necrosis cerea, gomosa, enzimatica
From a university pathological anatomy curriculum from Spain in the early 2000s, listing topics to be covered in the course.

I've found the terms Liquefactive, Coagulative, Caseous, Fat, Fibrinoid, and Gangrenous, etc., but I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out which goes with which. I assume "Gaseosa" is a typo and it should be "Caseosa"= Caseous.

Context:
3.- Lesion celular.
Causas, patogenia, morfologia.
4.- Necrosis.
Cerea.
Gaseosa. (OK)
Gomosa.
Gangrenosa. (OK)
Enzimatica.

The others I could use a bit of help with. Would "Enzimática" be "Liquefactive" or "Enzymatic"? What about Cerea and Gomosa?
Thanks in advance!

Necrosis gomosa = gummatous necrosis

Necrosis gomosa: Tipo de necrosis nodular de consistencia elástica (“goma”), que se observa en la Sífilis terciaria. Su mecanismo obedece a desnaturalización proteica, respetando las fibras elásticas.

Gummatous necrosis is a form of necrosis that involves the growth of non-cancerous tissues during late stages of syphilis. These growths are often firm or rubbery, swollen, and often tender or painful to the touch. These growths most often occur on the liver, but can also occur on the skin, heart, brain, bone, genitals, and other tissues.

Necrosis enzimática = enzymatic (fat) necrosis
(A web search shows that the term is mostly used in context with pancreatic enzymes acting on fatty cells)

Necrosis grasa: Variedad de necrosis celular que compromete el tejido adiposo. Puede ser de etiología traumática (mama, miembros, cuello, etc.) o enzimática (pancreatitis aguda severa).

This is exactly what I needed, thank you. They were indeed listing the types of necrosis that can happen to a patient, so I didn't think it was a simple description like "waxy/rubbery". Would have been different if it were a medical report. This was a curriculum. Cheers, Anne!
