Mada, nisam ga našla u nigde lokalnim izvorima. Kettle cloth: Made of cotton and polyester, plain weave stiff fabric, with a dull surface and a slight slub in the wave, which may be coloured. Used for men's light summer jackets, trousers and women and other casual dresses. https://books.google.rs/books?id=XkqoDwAAQBAJ&pg=PA818&lpg=P... Kettle cloth is no longer made. According to one source that I read, it was last manufactured in the 70s. The staff at the fabric store confirmed that it is no longer manufactured. However, they also said that they just recently received one bolt. They went on to say that kettle cloth is very similar to Osnaburg but more refined. Kettle cloth was made of cotton. There are some versions of weaver's cloth that are a 50/50 blend of cotton /polyester. The Osnaburg fabric that the local store is referring to is 100% cotton. https://www.proz.com/kudoz/english-to-french/textiles-clothi... I love the kettlecloth I sewed dresses with in the 60's & 70's. I've been trying for years to find a similar fabric. It was produced by Concord Fabrics, Inc. and was a poly/cotton blend that looked much like linen. |
